The Salinas family and Central Surf Shop are commitment to the preservation of the past and the future in this dense surfing community of Puerto Escondido, and throughout Mexico. There efforts are shown by the building of their third Central Surf Shop, which will include a surfing museum. Angel Salinas has helped other Mexican communities establish surfing competitions, and organizes the yearly Central Surf Longboard Invitational in Puerto Escondido.
