The Salinas brothers are Mexico's most famous surfing family.
They have been riding the Mexican Pipeline at Zicatela for over
20 years. They started the first Central Surf Shop in 1988.

Eduardo, Angel, Alejandro, Roberto, David, René

Angel Salinas and his longboard are a common sight at Zicatela.

René Salinas is the youngest of the Salinas brothers.
From 1993-1997, René was the Mexican National
Body Board Champion.

Alejandro Salinas supervises the Central Surf® clothing
manufacturing in Puerto Escondido.

 

Ruben Piña is related to the Salinas family by marriage.
His photographs have been published in most major surfing
magazines in the world. He sells his photographs at the
Central Surf Shop on Zicatela.
